Golden Spike

Yesterday afternoon we drove to Northern Utah  our main destination was to see the historical Golden Spike. Tom thought it is located in Tremonton, so we drove around but we couldn't find it. Anyways, the scenic highway reminds me a lot of  Madrid ( my birthplace) because of the hay farms that looks like the  rice fields. We drove back to freeway and finally got the sign on how to get there. Too bad I thought we gonna passed that way again so I could take a lot of pictures of the nice views.  The views are so green, lively and fresh. I have one in here but it's not as good as the other that we passed by. Hopefully next time around I will get a chance to come back in that area so I could take pictures of such panoramic views. ;-)
The wind started blowing and it was chilly cold!
This train is the replica of the Union Pacific train during the opening of the railroad from East ( Omaha ) to West  (Sacramento, California)
My wish to have a picture taken by the railroad finally came true..Hehehe  and I was really happy !  How I wish the wind isn't blowing so hard because of the freezing wind I took  few pictures only.

This is the replica of  Central Pacific train. These two trains met at Promontory Point here in Utah during the opening of the railroad from West to East.
On our way home I asked Tom to pull over because I just want to have a picture taken by this field. I just can't resist to capture the moment. ;-)
