I am not trying to scare everyone for the usual food that we Filipinos mostly love. As soon as we got here in Cebu, although I'm kind of still in a jet lag , but this is what I cooked for dinner. This may look terrible but it's yummy..hehehe stir fried shrimp and fried fish.
We call this "puso" and for foreigners we simply describe it as "The Hanging Rice"..(but in this pic it's no longer hanging ;-) ) How do they cook this rice? They first weave the coconut leaves loosely then they put about half of the rice grains then they tighten it.Then they steam cook it.
The coconut leaves and rice would be interesting to try. Hope you guys are having fun and staying WARM!
ReplyDeletethey said this hanging rice is good to eat with barbeques. We indeed enjoy the 90 degrees since we got here in Cebu. When i looked at the blog of Suzanne I sure miss the snow. ;-)
